The Letter from a Soldier

Dear Helen,

The days seem longer than usual. I don't know if I can take this any more. Today was my first scene of ooze of blood. It's not as fun like the video games back at home, especially when someone's brain splats all over your face. My patrol and I are now in the mist breathing as low as we can. I can't feel my fingers, my heart is racing, yet I continue to write this thing thats keeping me alive. It reminds me of that time at camp, when you were there with me. I shouldn't dwell in the pastm but instead focus on the present. Stay safe and happy, cause I'm fighting for that right now.

Sincerly
Lt. Mike

wow...what an interesting imagination you have, and a way with words that is realistic, yet vivid. I look forward to reading more of this correspondance!
